Robocars Race Finale

8. Februar 2023, 6pm – 9pm

Finally, the race is here! The teams will compete on the track. The fastest cars wins!

Rules for the race:

– Every car must make at least 3 loops in a row without human intervention.
– Fastest of these loops counts (so you can gradually increase speed on the track;).
– There are two paths available with the same starting point: a long loop for lane holding and an obstacle avoidance loop. The obstacle avoidance loop is shorter than just lane holding, but for each cone hit 2 seconds are added to your total score. Each participant is free to choose which loop to take.
– The vehicle can leave the track if it comes back and it did not take a shortcut.

This is the third of a five part class on the basics of hardware engineering, with a focus on prototyping and mechanical engineering.

This is the class where we talk about how to build your prototype. It will be less about design and more about what resources are available to the prototyper to build their concept. We won’t cover 3D printing, but we will talk about welding, machining, forming, and other methods. I’ll include my list of favorite tools that every prototyper needs.

Getting funded by mFUND – You give me 3 million Euros, and I do what?

Since 2016, the mFUND funding initiative has supported more than 400 R&D projects with significant capital. Under the umbrella of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), mFUND is looking for projects that combine innovative mobility solutions with an open data approach. Once a project has successfully mastered the various qualification stages, funding from mFUND means security for the future, even for larger teams – with up to three million euros to fund a project over a maximum period of 36 months.

In this MESH Masterclass, two representatives from mFUND will introduce you to a form of financing that will help you hold on to your company shares.
