The agreement was formalized by Jongwoo Kim, General Manager of SBA, and Sebastian Leber, Director of Investments and Innovation Programs at The Drivery, in a ceremony that highlighted the growing ties between Korea and Germany’s mobility startup ecosystems.

This strategic collaboration marks a significant step forward in connecting the startup communities of Korea and Germany. Under the terms of the MOU, The Drivery will offer essential support to Korean startups looking to expand into the European market, leveraging its extensive network and resources in Germany. Conversely, SBA will provide German startups with crucial support as they seek to establish and grow their presence in Seoul.

A unique aspect of this partnership is the agreement to provide cross-office access for startups affiliated with The Drivery and SBA. This will enable companies to utilize The Drivery’s Berlin office and SBA’s Gongdeok office in Seoul for business development activities. By creating a seamless and supportive environment, this initiative is expected to foster greater collaboration and innovation between startups in both countries.

Sebastian Leber, The Drivery’s Director of Investments and Innovation, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This MOU is more than just an agreement; it’s a commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration across borders. We are excited to work closely with SBA to provide startups from both Korea and Germany with the resources and support they need to succeed in new markets.”

Eunseo Yi, representative of The Drivery Korea, added, “This partnership reflects our shared vision of creating a global innovation network. By combining our strengths, we will open up new opportunities for startups in both Seoul and Berlin, driving forward the next wave of mobility solutions.”

This MOU represents a significant milestone in the internationalization of the startup ecosystems in both Korea and Germany. As the mobility sector continues to evolve, this collaboration will be instrumental in supporting startups to innovate, expand, and thrive on a global scale.
